What is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst?
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a highly trained professional who specializes in applying the principles of behavior analysis to help individuals improve specific behaviors and skills. BCBAs are certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) after completing extensive education, supervised experience, and passing a certification exam. They work with individuals across various settings, including schools, clinics, and homes, to develop and implement evidence-based strategies for behavior modification. BCBAs focus on fostering positive behavioral change, promoting learning, and supporting individuals with developmental, cognitive, and behavioral challenges.
